Aerodrome, the largest decentralized exchange (DEX) on the Base network, has reported a significant front-end compromise, urging users to halt interactions with the platform for the time being. In a similar vein, Velodrome, the most prominent DEX on the Optimism network, has experienced a comparable security breach. As a result of these compromises, approximately $68,000 in digital assets have been siphoned off to two wallets, identified as 0x02BA and 0xf64f.

The security breach at Aerodrome was publicly announced through their official Twitter account, stating, "Our frontend is currently compromised. Please do not interact with Aerodrome for the time being." Additionally, Velodrome has advised users against any interaction with their platform following the breach. Notably, some users reported unusual transaction suggestions while connecting their wallets, further indicating the extent of the compromise.

This incident underscores the vulnerabilities present in decentralized exchanges and highlights the need for enhanced security measures. The cryptocurrency community is closely monitoring the situation as the investigation by both DEXs continues.
