Infinex DEX Nears Launch: Bridging Web2 and Web3

Author : Renuka K

Kain Warwick, the founder of Synthetix, announced the impending launch of Infinex DEX, slated for May 13th, at the ETH Global conference in Sydney. Infinex, initially developed as a decentralized front-end for accessing Synthetix liquidity, has evolved into a comprehensive platform designed to lower entry barriers into decentralized finance (DeFi). This platform distinguishes itself by integrating social passkeys for Web2 logins, aiming to reduce the typical friction associated with Web3 experiences.

Warwick highlighted that despite broader on-chain functionalities, centralized exchanges still dominate user preference due to perceived ease of use and safety. However, Infinex seeks to merge the best aspects of both worlds, offering a seamless interface that might encourage more widespread adoption of DeFi services. The platform's development was partly delayed by a security breach in March, prompting an overhaul to enhance its security measures significantly.
