Crypto Integration: Euro Stablecoin Launches on Solana

Author : Renuka K

Circle, a prominent stablecoin issuer, has recently integrated its euro-backed EURC stablecoin onto the Solana blockchain. This initiative is expected to enhance utility in peer-to-peer transactions and European remittance corridors, potentially attracting significant institutional interest. The integration of EURC on Solana is complemented by support from Jupiter, a DEX aggregator, which will facilitate adoption in Solana's DeFi ecosystem through Dynamic FX pools and FX on DLMM. The move comes as part of Circle's broader strategy to facilitate seamless euro savings without traditional banking and is expected to drive increased adoption among institutions. Circle's recent Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP) further enables the exchange of stablecoins across different networks, a feature that could be particularly valuable for institutions following the collapse of Silvergate Capital in March
